Money Making Guide

A slow-rate economy rewards patience over gimmicks — here's what actually moves the needle early on.

Quest rewards

Early main-line quests hand out flat meso and starter equipment that's worth more on a fresh server than it will be later, simply because the item economy hasn't caught up yet. Clearing your class's early quest chain is close to free money — it costs time you're already spending to level.

ETC drops and NPC sell

Monster ETC drops (the miscellaneous non-equip items every mob drops) sell to NPC shops for small but steady amounts. Individually trivial, but training efficiently already means killing a lot of monsters — the meso adds up as a side effect of leveling rather than something you farm separately.

Party Quests

Party quests are usually the best meso-per-hour early on precisely because they're balanced around a full party clearing efficiently — the EXP and item rewards at the end are disproportionate to the time spent versus solo grinding at the same level range. They also tend to hand out equipment that's in real demand on a young server, which you can either use or sell.

Scrolling — proceed carefully

Enhancement scrolls can make or break an item's value, but they're a gamble with real expected-cost math behind them, not a guaranteed upgrade. Before spending real mesos on scrolls, run the numbers with the Scroll Profit Calculator — plugging in the scroll's real success rate and cost shows you the expected outcome before you commit, rather than after.

What to avoid

Be skeptical of anything promising fast mesos with no time or risk cost — that pattern usually means either an exploit that gets patched (and can get your account penalized) or a scam targeting new players on a server where trust networks haven't formed yet. The methods above are unglamorous, but they're the ones that hold up.
